I.Product overview

PDLC smart film is a sophisticated product that regulate the film's transparency and light transmittance through the voltage. Whether you use PDLC smart film as a decorative partition, a privacy-protecting door and window, or a projector screen, it may enhance the beauty and ease of your living and working areas.

II.Preparation before installation

1. Check whether the smart film is intact. If it is damaged or stained, contact the after-sales for handling.

2 Prepare required installation tools: ruler, pencil, utility knife, scraper, spray bottle, cleaner, and dust-free cloth.

3.Clean the installation surface. Ensure that the surface is clean, smooth, no oil, no water stains.

III.Installation

Note: Since the self-adhesive film is packaged in roll, if it is taken out directly, it will not be easy to stick, and it is best to put the self-adhesive film in a clean and dust-free place for 1 hour before pasting.

1. Select the installation position:

To begin with, select the film's intended placement using the patterned paper, referring to the design drawings or the needs of the customer. To make sure that the size of the smart film matches the installation area, measure the installation area. If the smart film size exceeds the area size, use a pencil to trace the outline of the installation area on the back of the smart film for easy cutting. Next, carefully cut the smart film along the indicated line with a utility knife, making sure the cutting edge is kept tidy.

2. Prepare the working environment:

Ensure that the working environment is clean and dust-free, and prepare required installation tools, such as a scraper, paper, and a dust-free cloth soaked in anhydrous ethanol.

3. Clean the smart film and glass:

After taking out the smart film, clean the dust on the self-veneer with a dust-free cloth soaked in anhydrous ethanol. At the same time, make sure that the surface of the glass is also clean to avoid any dust or water residue.

4. Pasting the film:

Use a scraper to remove any remaining water droplets from the glass surface after washing it. Don't let water remain on the glass. Remove the back protective film and attach the smart film to the glass. The film is torn and glued to the edge, and using the soft edge scraper to drag down to eliminate the bubbles. Ensure that the film fits the glass perfectly, free of bubbles.

5. Wipe the surface of the smart film with a dust-free cloth to remove excess water and bubbles.

IV.Routing method

1. Preparing for cable routing:

After pasting is complete, prepare for cable routing. Make sure you have the proper line length to connect the power supply to the controller.

2. Cable installation:

Connect the prepared wire to the smart film electrode wire. The red wire welded to the copper sheet is connected to the live wire, and the blue wire is connected to the neutral wire. Make sure the welding is firm and avoid short circuit or open circuit.

 

 

 

Please note that this is only a basic cabling design description, and the specific cabling scheme may need to be adjusted and optimized based on the structure, size, and installation environment of the door. It is recommended that you draw a detailed cabling design before the actual operation.

 

3. Power test and protection: After the wiring is completed, power test is carried out to ensure that the smart film can be normal transparent and atomized. After the test is done, use insulation tape to protect the electrodes, and hide the wires with plastic grooves to keep them clean and tidy.

4. Edge sealing and finishing: Finally, remove the smart film protective film, and connect the circuit and debug. After debugging, inject neutral glue on the four sides of the smart film, about 5mm rubber strip, until the glass glue is completely dry (about 1 day) before it can be used. Finally, seal the edge with 3M glue to ensure that the installation is complete.

V.Usage method

Step1: Connect the power supply and controller of the smart film to ensure that the power supply is stable and the controller and the smart film are connected successfully.

Step2: Open the controller switch, and the film will automatically standby.

Step3: The transparency of the smart film can be adjusted through the button of the controller or the remote control. You can adjust the light transmittance according to your needs to achieve privacy protection or decorative effects.

VI.Matters needing attention

1. Power supply: Input 220V/230V AC, conventional output voltage AC 60V, ±10V.

2. Material: This product uses EVA film and ITO conductive film to avoid contact with acid, alkali, benzene and other irritating substances to prevent corrosion or being tackless.

3. Handling and transportation: The product is an electronic product, the conductive layer coating is fine, and it must be erected when handling and transportation. If you need to add a cushion, please use flexible rubber to avoid damage.

4. Installation: The film can not be forced to straighten, and avoid hard squeezing during installation.

5. When you do not use the smart film for a long time, please turn off the controller switch to save energy and extend the product life.

6. Do not paste any items on the smart film to avoid affecting its transparency and use effect.

VII.Care and maintenance

1. Regularly wipe the surface of the smart film with wet soft cloth or dust-free cloth to keep it clean and dust-free.

2. If you encounter stains that are difficult to remove, please use special cleaner to clean, and avoid using cleaners containing chemical components.

3. After a long time of use, if you find that the transparency of the smart film has decreased, please contact the after-sales personnel for professional maintenance.
